The Police Department takes great pride in making the Town one of the safest communities along Colorado's Front Range. Emphasizing education and crime prevention, we've seen the number of major crimes in Castle Rock decline since 2000 despite doubling in population and a slowing economy over the same period. The department's 73.5 employees include 53.5 sworn and 20 civilian personnel as well as K-9 units, Community Policing, an Emergency Response Team and Investigations. Marked and unmarked vehicles and motorcycles patrol the Town.
