The Castle Rock Fire and Rescue Department is an all-hazards department providing EMS and ALS transport. The department responds to hazmat, tech rescue, wildland, and structure fire calls throughout the Town and District. The Department offers competitive pay, FPPA retirement, and opportunities to make an immediate difference in the Department.

Firefighter/Paramedic and Firefighter/EMT job postings and application
•Valid Driver’s License
•Current CPAT certificate (or registered for CRFD's CPAT test)
•Current Paramedic or EMT certification - must be Colorado or National Registry
•Scores from written test administered by the Castle Rock Fire Department or National Testing Network (NTN)
•High School Diploma or GED
Timeline of hiring
•Oct. 30 - Application deadline - Must include CPAT certificate and completion of FireTeam test if taken through NTN
•Nov. 4 - CPAT administered by Castle Rock Fire and Rescue Department (if not current) - Go to our CPAT information page
•Nov. 11 - FireTeam test administered by Castle Rock Fire and Rescue Department (if not previously taken) - qualified candidates will be invited via email
A fire academy may not be required if passed South Metro's, West Metro's, or Aurora's fire academy within the last 3 years.
Must satisfactorily complete a criminal background check, physical exam, polygraph and psychological exam prior to commencing employment.
