Planning new parks and open land to meet the needs of the community, while balancing and conserving the Town’s many natural resources.
Deputy Zack S. Parrish III Memorial Park
Based on staff analysis and public input, the department selected and Town Council approved Meadows Filing 18 Lot 2 for development. The public was then surveyed regarding park amenities and a name for the new park.
Construction of Deputy Zack S. Parrish III Memorial Park is now underway! A groundbreaking ceremony was held Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2018 to mark the construction of the Town’s newest neighborhood park adjacent to Aspen View Academy in the Meadows. Goodland Construction will complete this $2.6 million project featuring a large destination playground, picnic pavilions, 6 pickle ball courts, horseshoes and cornhole courts, paved walking paths, grass play areas and parking.
Construction completion is scheduled for Spring 2019.
